Prayer, 4/19/06

Heavenly Father, we humbly bow before you and say Thank You for a wonderful day and a wonderful life filled with the glory of being one of Your created children. Father, we are so grateful that in Your desire to love us You did not desert us to our own devices and wicked ways, but have prepared a door...Jesus...by Whom we may enter into Your kingdom. Father, we are humbled and grateful. Thank You. Forgive us of our sins that bring separation from Your will. Forgive us Father so that we too will understand that we as Your children have the capacity to do as You have said...Forgive those who have trespassed against us Father, help us to be chasten by Holy Spirit when we see what others have transgressed against us, that perhaps we too need to be mindful of that capability within ourselves. LORD, it is through Your power and Your power alone that we can be changed. Create within us that right spirit that allows us to be receptive of Your love to change...and to repent and truly turn from our wicked ways. Father, I want to be like Jesus...in my heart, my mind, my soul and my spirit. Help me to be willing, to be willing to change what is wrong within so that I can truly be like my LORD, loving of my fellow man. Amen and Amen.

Prayer - September 14, 2006

Most Gracious and Merciful Heavenly Father, we come to praise Your name and to say Thank You for Your loving kindness toward Your children.

Father, help us to remember our joy is Your joy when we come to sing and praise and worship!

LORD GOD, hear the prayers of Your people as they moan over losses and transitions that they are ill prepared for. Our hearts sometimes outweigh our sense of reason and understanding. Father, we quickly forget that it is wisdom and knowledge that leads us to greater understating…help us to remember that applies to all of our life, not just the sorting out of a solution to a checkbook error or an auto collision, but our spiritual journey.

Father, when we commit ourselves to Your wisdom and Your knowledge then we can begin to understand that while we may not totally understand the situation we can find peace in knowing that Your love and Your will is perfect. Father, open our eyes to see the magnitude of Your goodness toward us, and help us not to fret, but to fall on our knees in submission and prayer and simply call out to you “Thy will be done.” Father, when we trust Your perfect will we will never get second best, but will always receive the perfect. Father, thank You for the trust You place in us to be able to say with a joyful and humble heart…”Father, I don’t always understand, but I do always trust You.

Thank you LORD, Your mercies are plentiful and are enduring to each generation. We can only sing Your praises, and glorify Your name. We humbly ask that as we come LORD, You change our disobedient hearts into pliable hearts and may I always begin with “And begin with me LORD, begin with me”.

Amen and Amen.
